Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion

At St. Jerome, we cherish the profound moments of First Reconciliation and First Communion, which mark significant milestones in a child's faith journey. These sacraments are bestowed upon children upon completing the second grade in our faith formation program, REACH.

REACH serves as a solid foundation for children's understanding of the Catholic faith, guiding them from the first grade through different grade levels until fifth grade. Through this program, children embark on a transformative journey of learning and discovery, nurturing their spiritual growth and deepening their connection with God and their community.

During the second grade, our dedicated teachers focus on the sacrament of Reconciliation, emphasizing the importance of seeking reconciliation with God and their fellow beings. Children are taught the value of forgiveness, compassion, and understanding, laying the groundwork for a lifelong commitment to spiritual growth and harmony.

In addition to Reconciliation, our program also prepares children for the sacrament of First Communion. Children are taught about the profound significance of receiving the Eucharist—the body and blood of Christ. They learn how this sacrament nourishes them intellectually, physically, and spiritually, providing them with the sustenance needed to thrive during their formative years.

At St. Jerome, we believe that First Reconciliation and First Communion are sacred moments that deepen a child's relationship with God and strengthen their sense of belonging within the Catholic community. These sacraments mark the beginning of a lifelong journey of faith, love, and grace.

We are privileged to be part of this pivotal time in your child's spiritual development. Our dedicated teachers and clergy are committed to providing a nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and experience the transformative power of these sacraments.

We invite you to join us at St. Jerome as we celebrate the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion, empowering our children to embrace their Catholic faith, build strong moral foundations, and embark on a journey of spiritual enrichment that will guide them throughout their lives.
