Since 1990 St. Jerome’s has had an active Women's Guild. The Guild aims to involve the women of the parish in ways of serving both the parish and the wider community. We lend support to established ministries in the parish, provide for those who are in need, sponsor social events, and hold a variety of involving activities during the year.
Membership is open to all women, eighteen years and older, who are members of the parish and interested in the Guild and its activities. The Guild, currently with 35 members, meets monthly in the parish hall at 1:00 PM in the afternoon on the first Monday of the month from September through June.
If you or someone you know is a woman that cares about her parish and community and who wants to meet women with common interests, come to one of our meetings, contact one of our officers (below) or call the parish office (203-847-5349) for more information.

- In December the Guild sponsors a parish-wide initiative to provide gifts to all 125 residents of Honey Hill Care Center. For more information, please click here.
- An annual gala Christmas party takes place for all members at the rectory in December.
- The St. Patrick’s Day card party in March is a big hit with all the parish. The many in attendance enjoy card playing, board games, and socializing. It is a great chance to meet and greet old and new friends and enjoy guaranteed delicious desserts, all for a $5.00 admission.
- In May the Guild provides gifts such as baby clothing and layettes to single, expecting mothers under the auspices of Birthright of Norwalk, 669 West Street, a counseling and help center that provides non-judgmental support to girls and women who are distressed by an unplanned pregnancy. For more information contact Ruth Farrington, (203) 853-4872, the director of Norwalk Birthright and a member of the Guild.
- Monthly meetings sometimes feature speakers such as Sister Agnes, the parish Sunday Mass altar environment planner and arranger, who demonstrated the delightful art of floral arrangement.
- The year’s concluding meeting takes place as a festive luncheon for all members at an offsite restaurant in June.
